There's not a lot to say about a couple night lights - but these ones are truly different. I have two interior bathrooms without windows or any other ambient light source, and wanted a night light bright enough to walk into either one of these "black holes" without switching on the light. The product description states "the Maxxima MLN-50 is the brightest plug-in night light available," and I'm here to say IT'S TRUE. One bathroom is just feet from my bed, and while there's not enough light to interfere with sleeping, there's plenty to navigate it at 2:00 am without waking my fellow snoozer with a flash of blazing light. Good value, great performance. MARCH 1, 2012 UPDATE==> Both lights, now nearly two years old, are still going strong, and there's no change whatsoever in the strength of illumination - none. I bought two more about a year ago to remedy a couple other dark spots in my house, and they work just as well.
