The packaging image, the Amazon page description, and even the Satco website, all say as of today (November 2012) that this range of fixtures (in various colors) can handle 75 watts max. I just received this today, however, and the packaging has been changed to say 60 watts max. (Obviously they must have been having some issues so reduced it.) Unfortunately, based on this information I had already ordered the grow bulb to go with it. Keep this in mind if considering this fixture. Other than that it's pretty much as you would expect in build quality. No surprises to report there.. this is my Satco Products SF77/394 Multi-Purpose Portable Spot Light, Black reviews
